Depends on how many mods you are using really, if I only use 1 or 2 mods then I just install them manually. If I have a lot then using mod manager to enable/disable is easier to manage.

I've never played that PS3 version.

Some trainers downloaded from the internet don't work. Try downloading another one.

I wouldn't mind having both or more operating systems, the more the merrier. I like options. And some things are better on one os over the other.

@GrownUpGamingGUG turns out I was looking in the wrong folder but now it's sayingto run this application .net framework v4.0 so I think I just screwed everything up

Only way i can close it is through lutris

Hold steam button and use right touchpad as mouse and R2 as left mouse click.

My steam deck controller just works without needing any configuration.

In gaming mode, go into properties of teknoparrot shortcut. Set resolution to 1920x1080 and also turn on "set resolution for internal and external display".

The funny thing is that once I look for that resolution it doesn’t appear on the game setting or steam deck itself.

Yes just launch the game and also launch the fling trainer. But be careful as lots of trainer exe out there are fake and could be viruses.

@GrownUpGamingGUG ok thanks. Do they need to be in the same folder? That's what I would think. Perhaps copy the trainer to the bin folder where the exe is? Thanks for the advice i try to only dow load from fling.

Are you sure it's related to doing this? Maybe try factory resetting and don't do this process and see if anything happens. Also, what you described isn't called bricked as per my understanding bricked isn't recoverable 😅

@@GrownUpGamingGUG yeah! I even tried moving the game install onto the local steam deck hd instead of an sd card I’m wondering if it’s because I’m on the latest steam os channel? Maybe if I switch to the beta or preview channel it could work? Again I can get the fsr3 mod to work when I just run that command, but not the two of them together. Any idea what I could have done wrong?

Double checked and it is extracted into the home folder and I followed your old guide on how to install the textures with proton tricks and I downloaded the dll components. Super weird. Then you're probably putting it in the wrong location. Find those dll files within the game folder and replace it.

You're confusing me. What's going on with lutris and epic game launcher and non-steam game?;

@GrownUpGamingGUG I installed Alan Wake 2 with Lutris. It shows up in Steam and I can play it just fine. But some textures are missing and I want to install the textures mod to fix those. But, when I open ProtonTricks, Alan Wake 2 does not show up as a non-Steam game. The Epic Games launcher does, but not Alan Wake 2.

Ok now I think I understand, thanks. I think it's because you installed the game with lutris and you're using wine instead of proton so protontricks can't recognize, it is normal since you're not using proton. You can use winetricks built in lutris to do the same thing. Hope it helps.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG how do I get to winetricks? When ProtonTricks opens, it wants me to select a game and doesn't give me an option to change to winetricks.

I followed all directions in Lutris to add BG3 Mod Manger however heres where it gets different. i went to runner options and the only options i get for wine Version only different options. System (9.0) (Default) GE-Proton (Latest) Proton - Experimental Proton 7.0 Proton 8.0 Proton 9.0 (Beta) So i went with System 9.0 Default however when i started to do winetricks the only ones that installed were dotnet40 and dotnet45 the others im not sure if they just didnt work but i tried a couple times. and obviously when i lauched the mod manager it didnt work.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG if you have a fix for me id please love to know I just bought baulders gate 3 and theres a couple simple mods i wanted to use to do my first play through only like 2 of them but still i really want to be able to move with my joystick not click to move for a good experience for me.

Yes I noticed I had a bit of ghosting while I was driving too.

You can just remove the launch options command and the mod files.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG tbh I panicked after seeing the ghosting I thought I broke my deck. Lol I uninstall it immediately. I didn't know there's a fix to that ghosting.
